Becoming a Concept Artist by KingsIsle

KingsIsle Entertainment in Austin, TX promoting itself as "Providing Family Friendly Online Entertainment" recently made a blog post on what to do to become a Concept Artist.

KingsIsle is known for Wizard101 and Pirate101, child-safe yet engaging-to-adults games where players throw spells or use weapons to battle enemies or other players. One of its many unique features is the pirates can cross over to the wizard worlds and the wizards can cross over to the pirate worlds if players have accounts in both games.

Collaborative Sculptural Video Installation at Mountain View includes Works by Colette Copeland's Students

On exhibit at 500x Gallery in Dallas through November 24, 2013, is a collaborative sculptural video installation including work by Colette Copeland's Digital Video Class. Giovanni Valderas' Mountain View College design students created a paper mache wall sculpture. Copeland's students (Wayne Clark, Angelica Dominguez, J.R. Richardson, Aaron Round, Art Schuster, Andrew Sullivan, Gina Ward and Charles Wicker) created short, experimental videos interpreting the theme "Fluidity." The looped videos are projected onto the wall sculpture creating an immersive environment.
